Always interested in distractions . . . I offered to make a doll's house piece for the National Trust's Upton House Project. Thinking this quite straightforward I soon found problems! 1/12 is quite small and running special mouldings to size was difficult. I used a piece of beech, filed a profile and used a home made 'scratch stock'. The metal is bacofoil and the faux marble was the easiest.

Next up is a 1/12 scale framed painting . . . I'll save that for after Christmas
