I find Neo Classicism again.

My recent visit to Kenwood house triggered some forgotten link with the past. Robert Adam was indeed a genius, and his painted ceilings were absolutely brilliant.

Connections with evergreen favourites like Wateau and Chardin make it all the more pleasing. The question is how to I incorporate this revival into my work? My scribbles here are to introduce my hand and eye to genuine Adam designs, to feel them flow. Much of this must be done to identify with the period, strangely I am already overlapping some colour combinations so it all may be a moment of fusion.

I have some formal abstract figures I want to use, a rough drawing has been made and an initial watercolour is on the table.

I can't  imagine where this is going to take me . . . .
